fi.ial four games to reach the playoffs. Any vteam striving
to make the intramural basketball must win at aleast 60
percent of their games by the end of the regular season to
qualify for post-season play.
Every team is scheduled for seven games in six weeks,
which makes five victories the magic number for any team
seeking to clinch a playoff position. Intramural basketball
games are held Sunday through Thursday at the Soloman
BlattP.E. Center.
PLAY CONTINUES this week with several key matchups
that will have a bearing on the playoff picture and could
influence league championships. In the dorm division, ninth
rated Heartbreak Hotel takes on a scrappy Thornwell
squad on Wednesday night at 7:45 on court number one.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon, rated eighth in the Gamecock
Intramural Basketball Poll, puts their undefeated record
on the line with two tough contests this week. SAE takes on
unranked Kappa Alpha Psi on Tuesday night. Kappa Alpha
