A $1 increase in football
and basketball ticket prices
was approved by the board
of trustees' Intercollegiate
Activities Committee
Tuesday.

athletic director, blamed the
increase on inflation. "With

an inflation rate of 10 to 12
percent, we have to make up
the difference somewhere,"
Moore said. "We can't sell
any more tickets. We sold out
every game this season in
football."

University of Michigan's
football tickets cost $11, and
the University of Southern
California, Georgia and
Clemson charge $10. Since
schools split the money
collected for tickets Monro

eight tickets each. Halfscholarship
donors will be
allowed to purchase four
each. Roundhouse and
Century club members and
faculty and staff members
who purchased season
tickets this fall will be
allowed to buy two each. I
