If you plan to go home for Christmas and must fly to get
there, you'd better buy your ticket now or l>e ready to pay 50
percent more for your seat, an Eastern Airlines spokesman
said
Liz Day. Kastern's Columbia ticket counter supervisor
said new rules implemented by the airline ndustry stipulate
that travelers taking advantage ol "Super-Saver discounts
in December must pay for their tickets by Nov. 1.
Day said Delta Air Lines is responsible for putting the new
plan into effect and added that the changes will most alter
students and businessmen.
Under the old guidelines, travelers paying tor seats a week
in advance and staying at their destinations for at least one
weekend received almost a 50 percent discount. For
