"When you're that far
behind it's hard to play real
hard. At halftime their coach
must've told them the game
wasn't over yet. They came
out tough."
Next week will offer the
first break in action for the
Gamecocks before they
resume their schedule
against Georgia on Nov. 1.
"We need the rest,"
Carlen said. "Our kids have
worked hard for the past
seven weeks.
According to Rogers, the
week off will give the team a
chance to recover. "The
week off will help everyone
mentally," he said. It'll give
us a chance to lift some
weights and tune up our
bodies."
