Carrie, so even though
you're Dressed to Kill. Don't
Go In The House, don't catch
a ride in The Hearse or on
the Terror Train, and Don't
Answer the Phone When A
Stranger Calls from Motel
Hell, especially if it's
Halloween, Friday The 13th
or Prom Night.
Basically, the only differences
between these 12
films, and the dozens of
other films like them, are
setting and quality. Their
plots are virtually the same:
a person goes crazy, or is
crazy to begin with, and

"Dressed to Kill" and
"Halloween" are the
classics of the "scare-me"
genre, and only a handful of
others have as much as a
single redeeming aspect.
Three more killer-on-theloose
movies, "He Knows
You're Alone," "Terror
Train" and "Prom Night,"
have just opened,and while
none of them is anything
special, none comes close to
Deing the worst B-grade
horror movie ever made.
Easily the least successful
of the three is Armand
Mastroianni's "He Knows
You're Alone." After a
clever opening, in which a
girl is murdered while
watching a movie about a
tiller aboard a speeding trah

out the theater exits and is
replaced by stupidity.
We're told repeatedly that
the killer in "He Knows
You're Alone" murders only
brides, but five of his seven
onscreen victims don't fit
that description. Three of
them are even men.
The picture is also
reprehensible for having
stolen so many scenes from
other horror movies.
Foremost among them is the
severed-head-in-the-fish-tank
scene, lifted in its entirety
from last year's witty "The
Silent Partner."
