From its inception in the 1960s,
Free University at the University of
South Carolina has redefined

interested students meet without
the pressures of a regular
university classroom. Yet, Free
University offers more than an
alternative technique to learning.
Topics addressed in the past have
ranged from The Art of
Lovemaking to Classical Marxist
Theory. Free University has always
tried to maintain a "something for
everyone" theme and as a result
has expanded its area of concentration
considerably.
