Family Fest

Twenty-nine workshops will be offered Friday from 10 a. m
until 11:45 a.m. on the concourse level of the coliseum as par
of Family Fest '80.
Mercedes McCambridge will lead a workshop entitles
"Alcoholism," focusing on the dangers of alcohol abus<
particularly among women.
Special activities for all ages will include musical groups
puppet shows, mimes, clowns, air sculpture and more than 5<

Gov. Dick Riley will be the guest speakers. Representative
from six South Carolina school districts will present signe<
petitions to Riley asking that government officials "stoi
drugs at the source."
Bureau accepting
legislative interns
The USC Bureau of Governmental Research and Service i
accepting applications for spring appointments to th
Legislative Intern Program in Room 406 of Gambrell Hall.
The program gives students an opportunity to conduct stal
research for various committees of the S.C. Genera
Assembly. Intern projects include analysis of the Workmen'
Compensation Laws of North and South Carolina, researc
into a pilot project to reduce institutionalization of th
elderly, an analysis of welfare reform legislation and judicis
reform.
Fraternity observes
10th anniversary
The Zeta Epsilon chapter of the Kappa Alphi Psi fraternit
at USC is celebrating its 10th anniversary this week. It wa
the first black Greek organization on campus.
A public meeting Friday at Rutledge Chapel will featur
guest speaker William Gibson, president of the S.C. Cor
ference of Branches of the NAACP.
A ball will be held from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday a
