The delay was requested by the student senate at the
student-trustee liaison meeting earlier Friday. The Code ol
Student Academic Responsibility was passed May 2 bv the
faculty senate, and although the student senate has no power
to pass or veto the code, it wants a chance to comment on its
content. The committee will make its decision Oct. 31.
Each school within the university will have a Committee or
Student Academic Responsibility consisting of at least three

The housing office wants firm commitments from
students, Wertz said.
The office must know how many spaces it has for in
coming iresnmen. Making tne deposit non-refundable gives
the office a better estimate of how many spaces are
available and reduces the freshmen waiting list, Wertz said.
Students receive numerous warnings that the deposi t is
non-refundable, and it is stated on the lease.
