Six defensive veterans led by linebacker
Gino Piozzi gives Woodrow experience as
well as size, with the defensive line
averaging over 190 pounds. Look for
Woodrow to be in the thick of things for the
dorm championship.
NUMBER 6-LAMBDA CHI ALPHA: The
loss of nil-stars nuntor Rif?h rnllahan oriH
offensive guard Abbey Bray who will coach
the team, should hurt. However, the offense
led by first year quarterback Keith Padgett
and an offensive line averaging over 200
Dounds should eive last season's iinmhpr
nine team more firepower.
An already sturdy defense headed by allstar
end Pat Cooley will be aided by the
presence of 64, 220 pound Marc Rebucci,
who could play offensive or defensive line.
An improved offense will be the key as
Lambda looks to better last season's 7-4
record.
NUMBER 7-AFROTC: The surprise team
of last year will be hard pressed to match

their record of a year ago. The loss of the
entire offensive backfie!d makes the 1979
semi-finalist's depend heavily upon all-star
center Calvin Hanzel and second team
selection offensive guard Ned Calvert.
Air Force will depend again upon its
defense, which returns all-star defensive

Coach Gary Ricketts comments, "I think
we'll win more than we'll lose, but I don't

NUMBER 8-MOORE ALUMNI: The dark

champs, Maxcy and Columbia Hall.
MAXCY suffered heavy graduation
losses, including all-star defensive performer
Frank Wessinffer and flanker A.D.
Underwood. Maxcy will have to rebuild the
defensive line and base its offense around a
strong, solid offensive line. If they can
adjust to their losses, look for Maxcy in the
playoffs.
COLUMBIA HALL will count on a strong
front line featuring two-way player Willie
Spry and quarterback Mike Mathis. They
will definitely miss split end Paul Brown.
SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON will count on a
returning offensive line toopen holes for its
runners. The defense will miss all-star
safety Mark Irvin. One of the largest
fraternities on the Quad will count on depth
to reach the playoffs.
cm rsi was raiiKeu ior mosi 01 lasi year,

one of the top teams of the early part of last
