Students who park on campus during the weekend should remember
that parking regulations are in effect 24 hours a day, said Lt. Ken
Pereira of the USC parking division.
There have been complaints from students who have received
parking tickets during weekends, but Periera said under the
regulations, tickets can be given to cars parked in "an area not suitable
for parking.
PEREIRA cited USC's parking regulations, which state that a car not
parked in a legitimate parking space can be ticketed anytime during the
day or night. Many students have the misconception that their cars are
safe from the metermaids if they park anywhere on campus on the
weekend.
"We realize their (parking) problems," Pereira said. Hesaid that if a
student does come to him with a parking problem,he will try to resolve it.
