The NAACP organization was begun this fall and has about 100 members, which Miller said is "just super" or an organization just getting started. "There are 3,000 full-time black students that pay an average of $800 a year and they are certainly entitled to get some of that money back in an organization that serves them," he said. Frank Reid, student cochairman of the Board of Student Publications and Communications, said the budget cuts suffered by the student media are part of the larger problem of rising costs. Inflation has absorbed so much of student organization budgets, I think what they really need to look at is raising activity fees.
