1 would like to address this
statement to the person who wrote
to the Gamecock about how he
finds it funny to scare bicyclists
with his automobile.
Do you think a bicycle is any
match for a car? Well, you had
better sit down and think this out
before you answer this question.
Picture this, you are driving
down the road in your car and a
transfer truck swerves at you,
trying to hit you. How would you
feel? This is how bicyclists feel
when a car tries to hit them.
. I ride my bicycle to class when it
is warm and whenever I can. I live
off campus in West Columbia.
While riding my bike to campus, it
is seldom that I have a motorist
blow his horn or get mad at me.
Most people are human and care
about human life. You should

more about others than you do
your selfish self.
You need to be put away and
locked up. You are like the
psychopathic killer who has no
feelings for human life. You have
a serious problem and need help.
I, myself would even offer to give
you help if I could, but I believe you
are beyond help!

To the Editor:
Life in the military, especially
during the first few years, is
physically and emotionally
demanding. Soldiers are often
overworked and always underpaid.
Even worse, it can be
DANGEROUS.
These then are jobs much better
held by the poor, blacks, and
i'uerio Kicans iwno nave no reai
choice in the matter) than by the
loved and pampered sons and
(GASP) daughters of the middle
and upper classes.
And just think!! A few minor
brush wars here and there and we

ourselves of most of our social and
welfare problems. Think of it!
I have asked that my name be
omitted because there are people
out there ignorant enough to miss
the point. We can take some of the
credit for that too.
