HHHBi RHnS McKissick Museums, USC's showplace for its collections of art. science, history, education and hroarir?ast?n0 hns wn n rmtinnnl accreditation by the American Association of Museums. The accreditation followed an extensive examination of the facilities with consideration of goals and accomplishments. The inspection committee, chaired by Russell Peitham of the Charlotte Nature Museum, praised the staff, exhibits and organization of McKissick, noting that the museums was a "most capable" and "dynamic" operation. McKissick is open 9-4 Monday through KVid;iv anrl 1-Finn SsiinHnv Admission is free and open to the public. Stage and screen star Vincent Price will perform as British author Oscar Wilde in John (Jay's "Diversions and Delights" on Feb. 22 at the Township Auditorium, beginning at 8. Price's career has spanned Broadway and London theatres, Hollywood films, radio and television shows and the lecture circuit. He will star as the sole actor in "Diversions and Delights," portraying the eccentric Wilde toward the end of his life, as he gives a lecture in an old Paris concert hall. Admission is $8 and $7 for the public and $4 and $3 for USC students. Tickets are available at the Township box office. The performance is spoil sored by the USC Cultural Series Committee. On Feb. 2(> the USC' Clariosophic Society will sponsor a debate on i IT Toi Gi Ne^ im.iii.1 mmni11rim n u mil 11 the merits of party politics. All regular programs of the Society are held in the Clariosophic Hall on the third floor of Legare College on the USC Horseshoe, beginning at 7:30. Georgetown County maritime life at the turn of the century is captured in 20 photographs on display in the Historical Collections Room of McKissick Museums. Organized by the S.C. Museum Commission and the Georgetown County Historical Commission, the exhibit shows everyday scenes on the Georgetown waterfront between 1880 and 1920. The exhibit will be on view through Feb. 27 from 9 until 4, Monday through Friday.
