Coach June Raines will have the nucleus of last year's 31-16 squad coming back. Thirteen veterans in all will be returning from that team plus righthanded pitcher Bill Landrum, who missed 1979 with a leg injury, and second baseman Tommy Williams, injured in the sixth game of the 1979 campaign. The 53-game schedule includes 34 home games as well as 19 on the road. Landrum had an 8-2 record in 1978 but fractured his right kneecap just before the 1979 season opened. He recovered in time to post a 12-0 record with the Sullivan Furniture team of Grand Rapids, Mich., in American Baseball Congress competition last summer.
