Columbia Hall captures its second
straight men's Intramural swimming
title and Kappa Delta won the
women's title last week at the PE
Center.
Events for the men's division in
eluded: 50-yard freestyle, 50 yard
backstroke, bO yard breaststroke,
50-yard butterfly, 100 yard
freestyle. 200 yard medley and the
200-yard f reestyle.
COLUMBIA Hall easily captured the
title by finishing first in each individual
and team event with 79
points. The top four finishers behind
Columbia Hall were: Sigma Alpha

Nu 1 7 and Pi Kappa Phi 1 6.
THe team events won by Columbia
Hall were the 200-yard medley and
the 200-yard freestyle. Sigma Nu and
Phi Kappa Epsilon finished second and
third respectively in those events.
Ehmke of Columbia Hall won the
50 yard freestyle in 22:14. He was
followed by Hudson of Sigma Alpha
Epsilon and Bunch (ZBT).
Steve Breiter won the 50-yard
backstroke in 26:72, followed by

This will be the last issue of the
Shoney's Intramural "Sports Flash"
for the Fall! 979 semester.
THE "SPORTS FLASH" was
started to give extended coverage to
the participants and the Intramural
program itself. It is important the
individuals participating in the

because it is an extremely important
part of their cofiege life.

STOVER WAS THE only dual
winner of the meet. He won the 100yard
freestyle and the 50-yard
butterfly. Sands and Bain finished
second and third respectively in the
freestyle while Robinson (TMA) and
McFarland (Sigma Alpha Epsilon)
finished second and third in the

The events for the women's
division included the 50-yard
freestyle, 25 yard backstroke, 25yard
freestyle, 2 5 yard breaststroke,
75 yard medley relay and 100-yard
freestyle relay.
