A radian Adventure: Forget
Sabu, here's the Stud (Oliver
Tobias) in a story about flying
carpets, murderous sheiks and
shifting sands. Christopher Lee costars.
(G) Columbia Mall.
...And Justice For All: A1
Pacino, as might be expected, is
magnificent as Arthur Kirkland, a
sensitive lawyer who encounters
corruption or senility everywhere
he turns. When he finally lets his
emotions expioae in tne courtroom
finale, it's almost enough to make
you forget that the movie really
has nothing much to say. (R)
Columbia Mall and Dutch Square.
Apocalypse Now: Francis
Coppola evidently felt strongly

shame, however, that with the $32
million he spent on this film, he
couldn't produce a character, a
scene, or even a line of dialogue
capable of projecting his feelings
on the screen. In the future,
Apocalypse will probably be
looked upon as Coppola's version
of Barry Lyndon?beautiful, banal,
and totally uninvolving. (R)
Jefferson Square.
Butch and Sundance: The Early
Days: William Katt and Tom
Berenger recreate the roles made
famous by Robert Redford and
Paul Newman. The story isn't as
blood-filled as most Westerns,
which may explain why the film
didn't do too well at the box office.

The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh:
The cinematic equivalent
of a pimpmobile?loud, tacky,
covered with glitter and full of
trashy people, all of whom do
nothing but listen to monotonous
disco music and yell "Get Down!"
at the drop of a hat (or, in this case,
at the drop of a pink fur beret).
Kramer vs. Kramer: What will
probably be this Christmas' most
acclaimed film. Dustin Hoffman
and Meryl Streep star in a story
about divorce and child custody.

There's nothing blasphemous here,

The story deals with the
murder of a Los Angeles
policeman, the nervous breakdown
of his partner, who feels responsible
for his death, and the subsequent
trial of the killers. A

Starting Over:- Everyone
concerned with this delightful
romantic comedy (Burt Reynolds,
Jill Clayburgh, Candice Bergen,
director Alan Pakula and writer
James L. Brooks) should be
