when the car they were riding in

downtown Columbia

The driver of the car, Vincent L.
McLaugline, 19, of Wilson Park,
N.Y., was reported in serious
condition at Richland Memorial
Hospital Monday.
USC swim coach Scott Wood burr
said of Considine, "She was
an All-American in three events as
a freshman but had to drop off the
team this year due to very bad
arthritic knees. She was in constant
pain with the condition.
"I just got back into Columbia
today (Monday) and learned of her
