Central Florida is the home of
many tourist attractions which
help bolster the Florida economy
while making use of the state's
warm climate.
Walt Disney World is probably <
the biggest and most popular at- j
traction the Sunshine State has to <
offer; however, there are many ?
other fine places to go while you 5
spend your time in Central ,
Florida. <
Sea World of Orlando is \
becoming a very big place to go j
after you visit Disney World. The .
star of the water showplace is a
killer whale by the name of Shamu .
who puts on nothing less than a <
brilliant performance every time, j
Also dolphins, penguins, seals, sea ,
lions, deer and many other unique ]
attractions can be seen at the j
aquatic wonderland located a few j
minutes away from Disney World. .
Another "World" located near ,
Disney is the Ringling Bros, and <

You can see an entire three-ring j

way on a large screen. You can (

To the north of Orlando, Silver
Springs can show you one the most
beautiful sights Florida has to
rffer. The crystal-clear water is
stocked full of every kind of fish,
which can be seen from the world
renowned glass-bottom boats of
Silver Springs. Also, the jungle
cruise offered can give you one of
the best guides to Florida nature
ana wildlife to be found anywhere.
Weeki Wachee Springs are
another of Florida's crystal-clear
springs which have become tourist
.raps. The amazing underwater
show of the Weeki Wachee mermaids
(they really do exist, you
enow) is something that should not
:>e passed up. Also, the Birds of
Prey exhibition is one of the best
wildlife shows performed in the
state. Weeki Wachee also has a
scenic river cruise to amuse you.
For the best water ski show in
he world Cvnrpss rinrripns in
Winter Haven, 30 miles southwest
>f Disney World, is the place to go.

people high, stunt skiing with a J
water clown, barefoot skiing and a i
host of other aquatic shows can be
seen. The gardens are among the
most beautiful in the world,
especially this time of year, when
everything is in full bloom.
A central Florida attraction
which is rapidly becoming as
popular as Disney World is Busch
Gardens of Tampa. "The Dark
Continent," as it is known, has
risen from just the AnhauserBusch
Brewery and a lush garden,
to one of the biggest wildlife parks
in the state. The Tiger Pit, with
five magnificent Bengal Tigers,
along with the Nocturnal Tunnel
and small animal area team up
with the large "reserve" to
provide an eaucauon in zoology.
The Moroccan Village, with belly
dancers and a North African atmosphere,
and Stanleyville, with
rides and animal shows, complement
the Dark Continent's
attractiveness.
The Gulf Coast beaches are also
an attraction one should not miss
in Central Florida. The beaches,
for the most part, are less crowded
than the East Coast beaches, and
some consider them preferable.
