experts by finishing 24-10 and
going to the NCAA playoffs for the
first time in tne school's history.
In the process of playing such a t '
fine season, Parsons' charges
broke or tied 26 school records,
including most wins in a season S and
most points scored in a season.
More important though, the team
brought women's basketball out of HhuH
the dark ages at USC. |
Before Parsons' arrival, the
women played their home games
in the P.E. center before almost no
spectators. Now, the Lady
Gamecocks play all of their home
games in the coliseum. Attendance
figures rose with each game.
