Paul Streeter said. Stroeter is a member of the Student Senate Athletic Committee involved with ticket distribution. < Coliseum sections F,G and H are designated for student seating. Ray Faircloth, USC ticket manager, said "primarily, students will be sitting in these sections. Members of USC's coaching staff, future athletic prospects and members of student government" will also occupy some of these seats. STRKETER contends that "Only 15 students are sitting in this seat block. Also, SG seats are in section N, primarily row BB, not sections F,G and H." "This incident generally shows the administrative attitude around here. Student rights are being trampled upon," according to Phil Brown, a USC law student. LSC President James B. Holderman requested and received 100 tickets. Holderman said that these tickets were to be sold at the standard price of five dollars to "legislators and extra guests". "I asked Faircloth if there was any problem about requesting the tickets. I haven't heard any complaints," Hoiderman said. Holderman also said no announcement was made about tickets being pulled. "We're selling 100 tickets that otherwise might not have been sold," Holderman said. "We're not trying to deprive anyone." Streeter said he feels there should have been an announcement. Students are sitting in the rafters now where they can't be heard," he said. STUDENTS WHO camped out for tickets got bad seats and complained, Brown said "I feel the administration should have tickets, but they * should be allocated in advance ? then if they don't use them, make them available to students," Streeter said "Don't spring this on students without letting anyone know about it." "If he (Holderman) wanted seats ? he could have them from general public seating, not arena seats," Brown said. "Those seats were designated for student use; at least he should have notified students," Brown added. "This is similar to the Clemson football-ticket situation We've had complaints about missing tickets," Streeter said. Faircloth used four student tickets (A-FF, 11-15. row 5) for his own personal use, according to Streeter "Yes, I've got the tickets," Faircloth said. "You just be careful what you put in the newspaper," he added. "You're going to get Holderman mad at you. you're going to get McGuire mad at you, and you've already got me that way," lit' Ad 111. THIS IS NOT the first time this has happened with tickets," Brown said. "There has never been an empty seat in the sections in question for big games as far as I know of," according to Streeter. All student tickets for the game were sold, according to a Carolina Coliseum ticket office employee.
