The Minority Student Affairs Committee reported
that a van fitted with a lift is now being used to
transport handicapped students around campus. The
van will run according to the schedule of students who
need it.
Other plans called for a "handicapped week" and a
handicapped day." Plans for both were tentative,
however, and the committee would report on the
status of these functions in a ater senate meeting.

confirmed by the Senate.
In other action, a resolution introduced by Norris
calling for the revival of the use of the Gamecock
athletic mascot was approved. Norris announced that
there will not be a microphone for football cheers at
the games next year, because of alleged obscenity
and cursing during cheers.

The resolution was passed by acclamation.

project at Tennessee State University, she said.
Tom Otts, director of Russell House, and Ken
Brandt, assistant director of business for
Russell House, brought the idea to USC.
Rodgers said Union Station serves about 1,500
people a day.
