Museums on the Horseshoe. The
exhibit features personal
belongings, documentary
materials and interpretive texts
designed to give insight into the
complicated Englishmen, who
abandoned his native land for the
United States. The exhibit is open
Monday through Friday from 9
a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5
p.m. in the Revolving Gallery.

will perform in a free public
concert at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan
31, in the Russell House Ballroom.
Ms. Hinderas, a frequent performer
with major symphonies
throughout the country, is a
graduate of the Oberline Conservatory
of Music and a professor
of music at Temple University.
The performance is sponsored by
the Cultural Series of the USC
Russell House University Union.
The first film of the 1979 Independent
American Filmmakers
Southern Circuit, "It's Grits" will
be presented at the Columbia
Museums of Art and Science on
January 19 at 8 p.m. This will be
the first public showing in
Columbia and admission is free.
Stan Woodward will be present for
a discussion of his film immediately
following the screening.
