Jowers, chairman of the RHUU
Fine Arts Committee, was the only
candidate for the position recently
vacated by Pam Moody.
When the secret ballot votes
were tallied, the results were five
votes for Jowers, none against and six
abstentions. According to the
by-laws of the executive council, a
two-thirds majority is required for
election. But the council also
follows "Robert's Rules of Order,"
