The new style is the result of
Coach Mark Berson and his hopes
of establishing a program at
Carolina that can compete with he

has recruited extensively
throughout the United States and
has put together a team of
American players that he feels will
be strong for the future.
The style of play will be very

style of exploiting individual talent
sometimes at the expense of
teamwork. 'Agressiveness will be
a trademark of this team/ said
Berson. 'We would like to

CAROLINA WILL face a very
tough schedule. They open against
Presbyterian College on Sept. 18
and then go on to play the top
teams in tne nation later this
season.
Berson said that 'These guys
are well disciplined and they know
what they are out there to do.'
The team is optimistic and
eagerly awaits the beginning of the
season. They have talent and the

Berson concedes that his team
will be underdogs this season, but
he said he feels they can be competitive

one player, so this may be a year to
gain some experience. Berson feels
that 'the defense is a little
behind the offense, 'but thnt will all

Berson is also looking for a
manager for the team.
