Renovation began last week on
Rutledge College as part of extensive
remodeling involved in the
Historic Horseshoe Renovation

Rutledge are the first area of
concern. "Right now the plan is to
renovate only the two side wings
which contain dormitory space," r
said Harold Brunton, USC vice
president for operations. "The
rooms will be redesigned into
apartment type units; the plumbing
will be modernized and air
conditioning will be added."

Brunton added. "Several of the

RUTLEDGE WAS constructed in
1805, the first building on the USC
campus. Originally named South
