Correction
The story in last week's
Gamecock concerning the airplane
crash of USC biology Professor
David Husband contained several
inaccuracies.
The USC Flying Club has had
three mishaps in the last three
years, not within the last year. The
incident involving the club plane
burning near Rock Hill was in 1976,
and the student pilot who crashed
near Moncks Corner crashed in
1977 and was not injured.
Also, USC did not simply attend
the Third Annual Pilot Safety
Seminar; USC sponsored it.
The Gamecock regrets the
errors.
