With the Faculty House's minibottle
license up for renewal July 1,
the South , Carolina Alcoholic
Beverage Control Commission
may have difficulty deciding
whether the USC facility meets
state requirements for mini-bottle
sales, its director said.
Director C.R. Haysor said the
law's definitions concerning
restaurants that serve mini-bottles

Section A-3 of the state law on
mini-bottles states that businesses

Faculty House guidelines state
on page 2 that "a soup and sand- wich
menu is offered in the
Rathskeller on the ground floor.
Aiconouc beverages are available
in the Rathskeller, but not in the
main dining room."
The Faculty House is considered
a private club and offers memThe
parking facilities bonds,
series 1975, have a six and one-half
percent interest rate and mature in
1986, with a total annual debt
service for 1978-79 of $389,750. New
Bonding would require a reserve
balance equal to the highest annual
debt thru 1986, which would be
$413,187.50 for the 1983-84 fiscal
year.

"There is a one-time initiation
fee of $25, and annual dues are $25
for Columbia campus persons and
$10 for two- and four-year campuses,"
Rembert said. Students
are not eligible for membership.

facility, he said.

off the top to USC for use of the
facility, according to Carol Lund,
