Latin American has had a
profound effect on its literature,
said Carlos Fuentes, a noted
Mexican author and former
Mexican ambassador to France.
Fuentes spoke at an international

failed," Fuentes said. He urges
other writers to explore more of

The symposium was held for two
days. Fuentes also spoke with
other lecturers Friday.
