The SG senate allocated more
than $5,000 in two bills passed last
Wednesday.
The first bill allocated $400 to
USC graduate student Donna
Wapner, who plans to spend the
summer working and studying in
Africa.
Wapner was selected to participate
in the Oossroads To
Africa. Inc. program. The cost of
her trip to Africa i loo - $2700 to
be paid by the program itself and
$300 from the Department of
Graduate Studies. She was advised
to seek financial aid from the
SG.
MANY SENATORS felt that if
the money was given to Wapner,
then other students would come to
the SG for summer work-study
program funding.
"SG is not a travel agency," one
senator said.
