Township Theatre. There are two
shows, at 7 and 11 p.m., and John
Sebastian is the opening act. Good
seats are still available.
This is a benefit concert sponsored
by the Palmetto Alliance.
Proceeds will be going toward
support of non-nuclear future.
Jackson Browne is a supporter of
the non-nuclear movement. In a
recent appearance in Atlanta, he
spoke of his belief in the cause, and
played "Before the Deluge," an
anthem about man's destructive

The Palmetto Alliance is part of
a national movement toward a nonnuclear
future. In "Deluge,"
Jackson sings of people like them;
"some of them were angry at the
way the earth was abused by the
men who learned how to forge her
beauty into power."
John Sebastian, who provided an enlightening
set as opening act for
Steve Martin, has also donated his
time to the cause and will open the i
show. He is best known for I

with the Lovin* Spoonful.
Although Jackson and Lindley
will be performing an acoustic set,
and not full fledged rock n roll, do
not be deceived. Several years ago
they toured as a duo, so this concert
will be, in effect, a rare opportunity
to see Browne performing
his vintage material as it
was originally presented to his (
audience.
Browne comments on David |
Lindley: "A friend brought him
into the dressing room at a club I .
was playing in; and seeing that he .
had his fiddle with him, I invited
him to play. As we were running

Jackson Browne has recorded
five albums, each of them superb.
His music is soothing and comforting,
his lyrics strip one's
perceptions and emotions bare. He
has written some incredibly j
moving songs.
In "For a Dancer," he sings
"Keep a fire for the human race,
let your dreams go drifting into
space; you never know what will ,
be coming down. Perhaps a better
world is drawing near. Just as
easily it could all disappear along
