Everyone has made their
predictions as to who will walk
away with the Oscars this year.
And they all have their reasons for
picking these "favorites." So, I
guess it's my turn to say who will
probably win, and who probably
deserves to win.
BEST ACTOR: Burton seems to
be the "favorite," since he's never
won an Academy Award, and they
want to give it to him so he will stop
making movies. I think Rirhnrri
Dreyfuss deserves Best Actor,
because he was simply excellent in
"American Graffiti."
BEST ACTRESS: Diane Keaton
appears to be the "fave," and she
does deserve an Oscar for her role
in the upcoming Woody Allen
movie which is as yet untitled.

Apparently Alec Guinness, from
"Star Wars (or "S.W.") got the nod
from such noteworthy publications
as "People." My vote goes to Jeff
Goldblum, who played Max Arlowe :
in "Between the Lines," a comedy- i
drama about an underground
newspaper. But he wasn't
nominated, so Alec will win.
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
The favorite is Tuesday
Weld, which to me is about as
meaningful as a Wednesday Lathe.
She was O.K. in "Goodbar," but
the Oscar should go to Vanessa
Redarave for "Julia." hwniisp qHa
is the one who truly deserves it.
BEST DIRECTOR: The slight
favorite is Herbert Ross, who
