"The system will become a
permanent fixture in Russell
House," said Jon Nason, video
committee member. The video
committee, with a budget of about
$4,800, allocated $2,800 for the
purchase of the system. The
remaining $2,000 will be used to
buy required video tapes, which
cost about $100 a piece.

USC has been awarded a grant
from the Amoco Foundation, Inc.
to continue its Outstanding
Teaching Award program for the
1977-78 academic year.
The program is designed to
recognize excellence in teaching
performance in undergraduate
programs. The grant provides
funds for awards to outstanding
teachers.
USC will make four awards this
year-one to the outstanding
teacher on the Columbia campus,
another to the top teacher at one of
the university's four-year camff
