ranked Sigma Alpha Epsilon 39-30
Tuesday in the intramural
basketball season opener for both
teams.
"We were shaky in the first
half," KA coach Lyles Glenn said.
"We didn't play as well as I
thought we would, and with Frank
in bed with the flu I was real
worried."
KA went ahead quickly, jumping
out to a 6-2 lead, but SAE's Adger
Rice hit a 2 point basket to bring
his team to within a point. KA's
strong rebounding and SAE's
inability to put the ball in the
basket resulted in a 19-14 KA lead

preserve the lead, and made some
crucial free throws down the
stretch to provide the final 39-30
margin.
Bahnmuler, playing his first
game for KA was the game's
leading scorer with eleven points.
His coach said, "We were lucky to
be hitting in the second half. That
Bahnmuler can really shoot. I'd be
interested in seeing a match-up
between him and (Alpha Phi

According to Glenn, "We were
sluggish at the beginning, but we
made some changes at halftime.
We moved (John) McCarthy
outside and let David (Estefano)
work inside. We were weak in the
middle tonight. SAE has a darn
tough team."

Owens feels the team can win the

"if we keep up the kind of bowling
we know we can. I honestly think
that if we bowl the same 199 there

Bellinger agrees. "We've got our
