Adult students
Program
By JUDY SIMS
Gamecock Staff Writer

college find the adjustment much
more difficult than those who have
and Elaine Joyner of the Continuing
Education Dept. says the
Mature Students Program is

can't do it" attitude in the beginning,
she said. ^

attention from the instructor.
"The adults are more demanding
of the instructors, more
motivated, work very hard and
want every ounce they can get out
of the course, Joyner said.
About 95 percent of the students
in the program are women, ac
