USC officials have given the okay for a
private company called Tuition Plan to offer
people the chance to pay educational expenses
through monthly installments
beginning next fall.
Tuition Plan will contact students next
spring and summer, offering several plans
which will permit people to pay on a monthly

due to the school.
The plan, which operates out of Concord,
New Hampshire, offers these monthlv

savings and investment plans intact. An
optional life insurance policy is also offered

Plan is a well-established company that has
been operating in this field for a number of
years. It is available at most state
universities in the Southeast.
The payment plans will cover all approved
school expenses, including tuition,
room and board. The four-year program
can be paid in 60 or 72 monthly installments.
There are also plans available for one, two,
or three years of college. According to the
particular plan chosen, a person has one to

TUITION PLAN is designed primarily for
middle income families, said McGirt. Independent
students with a guaranteed income,
such as a spouse working, would also
be eligible for the plan. Tht plans are not
designed for students applying for the major
forms of financial aid.
"It works more or less like a traditional
loan," said McGirt. "You have to have
some kind of collateral."
