"Graziano has really come along
in the last 10 days of practice. And
he's going to have to come along
pretty fast with all the great ones
he'll be playing against this year. 1
just hate we're having to throw
him into the meatgnnder as soon
as we are."
The Gamecocks' defense is
another area where McGuire has
some anxieties.
"Offensively we look good?we
have some good shooters?but our
defense has some problems, and
that makes me unhappy.

"IF YOU READ any of the
coaches' comments about our
football team, they were all saying
that the constant changes made by
the unit kept the other teams' offense
off guard. That's the way I
hope we'll be this year. It'll be a
combination defense."
The Gamecocks expect constant
change between zone and man-toman
coverage

players who provided leadership
for Cincinnati.
"The losses of Garry Kamstra
and Mike Artis will hurt us more
than most people realize," Catlett
said. "If we get the kind of
leadership they gave us we'll have
a good chance. I expect Brian
Williams and Gary Yoder to
provide that leadership this year."
"I hope Brian comes to the front.
He possesses tremendous ability
and could become a great player
with added consistency and

Also back is the team's Most

Despite losing two-time All-SEC
