11 possible sh
for the Gator Bowl, which is
considered the fifth most
prestigious bowl, but bids by the
Tangerine and Peach are still
possibilities.
Tangerine Bowl selection com
mittee spokesman Vernon Hinely
says, "We are really impressed
with the enthusiasm of the school.
South Carolina brought a great
amount of fans to the Tangerine
Bowl last year?something like
6,000 to 7,000."
A bid by the Tangerine Bowl
would be of slightly more prestige
this year as the stadium has been
increased in capacity by nearly
30,000 seats and national attention
would be received alone the 100
outlets of the independent Mizlou
television network.
