News briefs ABA investigating committee named A committee has been named to investigate the law school admission procedures of the USC Law School. The committee of the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admission to the Bar of the American Bar Association will be chaired by Dean A. Kenneth Pye, of the Duke University School of Law. Also named to the inspection will be John Germany, attorney from Tampa. Dean Monrad Paulsen, of the University of Virginia School of Law, and Professor J. Dickson Phillips, of the University of North Carolina School of Law. Following the closed door meetings, a report will be forwarded to the council for review. The panel will begin its hearings Oct. 2. Parent-training groups organized The USC Psychological Services Center is forming a parent training group for parents interested in improving their child rearing skills. The group will be conducted in an informal small-group setting with attention focused on learning to deal with children who have behavior problems.
