This program will allow a student's spouse to enjoy all privileges of the full-time student, except those." of the student health facilities and university athletic events. All student events funded by activity fees, the Golden Spur, Russel House game room, and University Union movies will now be open under this program. In addition, the P.E. Center, intramural and recreational sports programs, Bell Camp and the check-cashing service of the Treasurer's Office can be utilized. With the required library sticker, that facility can also be used. The ID will include the spouse's picture, age, ad dress and the ID number of the full time student who will assume all responsibility for the spouse. Upon completion of an application porviding for assumption by the student of reponsibility for the spouse and authorization for the use of his student number on the spouse card, the student will receive authorization from Student Actiivities for a card upon payment of a one dollar fee. By taking the authorization to Petigru any working day between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., the spouse can have a picture I.D. made and validated. The library sticker will be applied at the library with presentation of the spouse's and the student's I.D. If the student receives a new I.D., he must have the spouse card updated, with a new matching code for library use. The spouse card must be validated each semester. Commenting on the program, Dr. James Campbell, Vice President for Student Affairs, said, "Two populations concerned with the st udents have been overlooked, spouses and parents. You c:an find bothi kil 5210 Two N< Impeachment study postponed By DUNCAN MANSFIELD Gamecock Staft Writer A meeting of the Student Government Association's (SGA) Powers and Responsibilities Committee, called to discuss the possible im :echment of SGA Vice President Trey Lott, was cancelled Wednesday ause not enough committee members were able to attend. SGA members, who have been empowered to judge the need for Lott's impeachment, could not attend the Wednesday meeting because of conflicting class schedules or illness,Chairman Bruce Carter said. Statements by SGA President Steve Hill that Lott neglected his of ficial duties this summer initiated the impeachment study. He's(Lott) being paid to do a job, but he's not doing it," Hill was quoted as saying. Hill said money was allocated by the SGA Senate for Lott to codify SGA statutes and to hire a secretary to aid him. According to Hill, Lott did not perform these duties. "No charges have been made (officially) against Lott, Carter said We (the committee) want to know if Hill's comments were taken out of context," he added. Lott said he was concerned about the impeachment controversy. He feels that the issue stems from an "obvious misunderstanding" due to "different interpretations of the vice president's duty." The meeting was postponed to Tuesday. Carter expects a recom mendation concerning Lott's impeachment to be made at that meeting. If Lott's impeachment is approved by the committee, their recom mendation will be sent to the Student . Senate Judiciary Committee. Both Hill and Lott are expected to attend the meeting. Other business covered at the Student Senate meeting concerned a proposal to increase the campus security force guarding the Bates House ramp. Six recent muggings on the ramp prompted a Senate committee study of the problem. The committee has been working with Marvin 1D. Harrelson of campus security and residence life representatives. The committee recommended that student security volunteers be hired to patrol the Bates House ramp.
