combined with his unique hilarious insights and style, has
made him one of today's most lovable humorists.
He delights in sharing his adolescent memories
comments on the direction that TV commercials are
going and warns of the current most serious effects of
marijuana smoking.
KRAMER WILL appear at 8:30 p.m. in the Golden Spur
Wednesday and Thursday nights. He is sponsored by the
Union's Contemporary Sounds Committee.
The Chuck Mitchell Concert and Classroom Program
will be on campus Sept. 22, 23,24.. Mitchell, along with his
ex-wife Joni Mitchell, has his roots in poetic folk. music.
His charismatic truthfulness about his feelings on music
and life as expressed through his ballads and -lectures
make him a popular performer everywhere he goes.
Those who saw him on campus last year can confirm this
opinion.
Mitchell will give several classroom lectures during
these days but his main performances take place at 8:30
and 10 p.m. Sept. 23 and 24 in the Golden Spur. The
program is free to USC students.
The music field is dominating this month's activities,
but as long as its of high caliber, it becomes bearable.
The Afro-American Association and the Contemporary
Sounds Committee will present Mother's Finest, one of
Atlantas' best rocking soul bands, Sept. 26 in the National
Guard Armory on Bluff Road from 9 p.m. till? Admission
is $1.50 and beer will be available inside.
The final musical extravaganza of the month will be
Rod Stewart and the Faces with the Charlie Daniels Band
Sunday, Sept. 28 in the Carolina Coliseum.
