LAW SCHOOL From Page One mitted to the program in the summer of 1976. THE BOARD'S session allows these 14 students to attend regular fall classes at the Law Center. This policy, however, does not apply permanently, Law School Dean Robert W. Foster said. Questions concerning the legitmacy of the 2.0 policy surfaced in late July by State Sen. Edward E. Saleeby, whose son was enrolled in the SPAT program this summer. Saleeby felt his son was not given a fair chance because of Saleeby 's political connections. Saleeby could not be reached for comment, but his - wife said certain irregularities in the system caused Salleby's actions. She refused to specify what the irregularities were. THE IDENTITIESof the other 13 students have not been made public. The board's decision may be in conflict with the school's accredidation standards. Those policies read, "The Governing Board may establish general policies for the law school, provided they are consistent with a sound educational program and the Standards" of ac credidation. The board's decision could be in conflict with this regulation, Foster said Wednesday. In grading, the law school has two forms of anonymous grading, John E. Montgomery., a law school faculty member said. A totally anonymous system allows a professor to assign anonymous grade numbers to students. After grading a secretary mat ches the grade with the student's name. THE PARTIALLY anonymous system uses the Social Security number to identify the student. The professor in this case has both the name and the student's number. A third system employs the use of the student's full name on all test materials. The law school has no blanket grading policy, but leaves such matters to the individual professors. The SPAT professors used the totally anonymous system. THE AUDIEI DON'T JUSI They talk to it!
