Women's softball The women's softball team won a close game over Winthrop College 5-4. This boosted their record to 2 1. Pitcher Karen Pappas went all the way at the mound and was credited with the win. The Chicks played a good defensive game. The key to the defense was double plays made by Shay Kelly and Kathy Baynham. Coach Hamilton commented, "The defense played the best game of the season.
