No definite decision has been
made by the administration on the
location and structure of the
proposed honors college, the
chairman of the research com
mittee said.
Dr. Richard A. Rempel,
,chairman of the Facilities and
Grounds Advisory Committee, said
several proposals and suggestions
will be considered by the com
mittee. A sub-committee has been
established to handle the subject of
the Honors College.
The proposed college would have
been on the Horseshoe, and would
have become the South Carolina

Coliseum.
The new policy, the result of a
senate-passed bill introduced by
SGA President Leigh Leventis and
Tom Efland, will be in effect for
the five remaining home basket
ball games.
.The policy does not effect ticket
pickup. Two IDs and two fee
receipts are still required to obtain
tickets on pickup dates.
Leventis said the bill was in

college for honor students. This
has changed, Rempel reports, and
alternatives are being explored.
"Whatever we suggest must be
of a pilot nature," Rempel said. He
added such a pilot program would
be limited in scope. Faculty,
student and administration input
would have a key bearing on the
committee's decision.
While alternatives are being
explored, Rempel did not rule out
the Horseshoe location. He ex

. "The way it was in the past, you
had to pay $4 to get a guest in, or
sneak them in on somebody else's
ID, and at the Coliseum most of
them are caught," Leventis said.
"Now, we've eliminated the need
for doing this so we hope student
pickup will increase."
Married students will be aided
by the bill, Leventis said, since
they. can now take non-student
spouses to games with relatively
few problems.

"We are considering the
possibilities of a living-learning

that such a center would probably
be somewhere on the existing
campus.
The sub-committee is comprised
