The loss of starting center
Maurice Lucas (15.8 ppints)' and
Guard Marcus Washington (9.7
points) has hurt the Warriors
strength. Replacing Lucas at the
center spot are two players who
share playing time. Jerry Homan,
a 6-7 senior, and Craig Butrym a 7
foot center both play in the middle.
The Gamecocks were 4-2 over
the semester break which included
winning the first annual Carolina
Classic.
