They have been looking into similar questions ever since suggestion boxes have been in stalled in all the campus cafeterias. The suggestion box in the Russell House, for instance, has been there since Nov. 4. Former chairman of medical-surgical nursing at the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing, Madison, where she has taught since 1970, Dr. Johnson will assume the USC post Jan. 1, 1975. The Carolina College of Nursing she will head has a full-time faculty of 41 and 1,143 students in its programs leading toward associate, bachelor's and master's degrees. The school this fall moved into a new 84,000 square-foot, $3.4 million nursing building. A native of Illinois, Johnson holds a Ph.D. degree in educational administration from the University of Wisconsin; master's in nur sing school administration from the University of Colorado; bachelor's in nursing education from the University of Minnesota; and a diploma from the Swedish American Hospital School of Nursing, Rockford, Ill. Before going to the University of Wisconsin School of Nursing as director of advisement in 1969, she taught at Case Western Reserve University, was education director at the Swedish-American Hospital School of Nursing, and worked in nursing supervisory and staff positions at hospitals in Ohio, Minnesota and Illinois.
