What are you going to do after
you get your degree? You could
get a variety of jobs ranging from
construction worker to secretary.
According to recent studies
chances are good that if you get
your B.A. in a social science these
are the kinds of jobs you'll be able
to secure. With the job market
getting tighter, more and more
students are considering graduate
school. As a result, grad schools
are getting more competitive,
leaving many prospective students

are some things. undergraduates
can do to put themselves in a better
position to get into grad school,
they are usually not known until it
is too late.
In an effort to counteract this,

Topics such as requirements,

Dr. Thomas Cafferty, faculty
advisor of Psi Chi, held a similar
meeting last year. "Over 100
students attended and the reaction
was so favorable that it prompted a
continuance of the meeting on a
yearly basis," Cafferty said.
"Because there are no formal
university facilities to get in
formation on graduate schools,
many students are unaware of
what channels to follow," Cafferty
continued. "From the feedback we
received after last years' meeting,
apparently we helped fulfill this

Later in the semester Psi Chi will

vocational opportunities in the
state for students with B.A.'s in
psychology or related fields.
"There exists a problem in
finding jobs for studnets with
terminal B.A.'s," said Adger
Brown, president of Psi Chi.
