Carolina's rugby team won its
first game of the season, beating
the team that split away from the
USC club last year-the Columbia
Old Grey--13 last Sunday.
USC's Charley Calhoun kicked
three penalty kicks early in. the
game to pace the victory, while
Corky Miranda added a try late in
the second period.
The Columbia team is made up
Women's Tryouts
Two women's sports teams will
have organizational meetings
within the next few days and USC
coeds interested in trying out for
those teamsshould attend the
meetings.
The women's tennis team will
meet tonight at 7:30 in the Dance
Studio room of the Physicai
Education center.
The women's track team will
meet initially on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. at
the Spring Sports Center by the
Roost complex.
Those interested should bring
their student ID's with them.
