In an effort to keep USC students better aware of the groups and events happening on campus, The Gamecock has initiated a new standing column, entitled student activities corner. The column will appear each Thursday and will profile several campus organizations, as well as tell what events are going on during the week. University union The University Union is the major programming organization on campus, complimenting the classroom experience with cultural education and en tertaining programs. Classical society The Classical Society en courages social, cultural and in tellectual exchange among students, faculty, and staff and interested persons in the com munity and to promote interest in, ancient languages and civilizations. Communication in Education Association The Student Professional Association for Communication in Education is primarily a means through which the students in the A. Carolina veterans Carolina Veterans is an organization set up to help enrich and fullfill a veteran's college career and to encourage fellowship among all veterans and the acedemic community.
