GAMECOCK
In The Wrong
To the Editor:
In reference to the article "nite
life" written by the self-acclaimed
experts Chuck Cromer and Terry
Dugas, I would like a formal
retraction and apology for stating
that we serve 8 oz. drafts when ir
fact we serve 10 oz. drafts.
I further suggest that in the
future, if you have anything to sa
about private enterprises it shouk
be more of a critical analysis in.
stead of a biased opinion.
Sincerely,
Michael Truelove
Manager of the Campus Club
Ed.--THE GAMECOCK sin
cerely regrets the error concerning
the size of the mugs served at the
Campus Club. A formal correctioi
notice is on Page 2. Other com
ments about the article, "Trink,

Club. The article stated that eight
ounce mugs were served.when in
fact both places serve only ten
ounce mugs. The statemennt
made about the Campus Club, "35
cents for an 8 ounce Blue Ribbon is
steep" was totally uncalled for,
because their 10 ounce mugs for 35
cents is one of the better deals
around. When I asked Chuck
Cromer if he bothered to measure
the mugs at either place he replied,
"No, I know an eight ounce mug
when I see one." This implies to
me that Chuck Cromer is blind. I
believe that the reporters for THE
GAMECOCK should have their
facts straight before submitting
articles for print. Noticeable
damage to the business of these
two bars could result due to this
inept reporting.
Respectfully,
Brad S. Wehler
Ed.--THE GAMECOCK sin
cerely regrets the error concerning
the size of the beer mugs served at
the two establishments you
mentioned. The error was unin
tentional. In general, the article
"Trink, trink. . ." was an analysis,
and therefore represented the
opinions of our writers only.
Though the article was not labled
S"analysis," as it should have been,

nature of the story. Also, the last

have another rip-off to add to the
ever-growing list. Last spring the
student body had the opportunity to
vote on a controversial issue
concerning transformation of an
athletic field into a parking lot. By
a visible majority, the students
voted in favor of keeping the field a
parking lot, but the administration
obviously had other ideas.
According to the last addition of
The Gamecock, the University
sells approximately 7,227 bumper
stickers while only providing 3,894
parking spaces. Many students
are beginvng to wonder if the
administration really wants to
solve this problem. They certainly
haven't given any indication that
they really care one way or the
other.
All Dean Brunton needs now is
for modern technology to invent
the "Astro student." Like astro
turf, the "Astro student" would
need almost no care while inately
serving the same function as the
real stuff.
How much more of this rip-off
are the students willing to
tolerate? How many more
