Runs April 8-26 Fall Advi Starts Ne Advisement for fall classes will begin next week, according to a report issued to deans and department heads last week by the USC Division of Administrative services. The advisement program this semester has been expanded to pre-enroll students in their major courses, courses for graduating seniors and graduate students who are taking undergraduates. Last semester courses in major subject areas were the only ones pre enrolled. The schedule calls for ad visement of graduating seniors on April 8-9, seniors on April 10-11, juniors on April 12, 15 and 16th, sophomores on April 17, 18, and 19th and freshmen on April 22-25. A "clean up" day has been scheduled on April 26 for advisement of those who missed their regularly scheduled day. Graduate students who must take undergraduate level courses may be advised on any day during the three week period. Eileen Berlin, SGA secretary for student welfare who is also working on the project, said it was important that enough students go through with the advisement process. Once the student and his advisor have completed the advisement form it is sent over to the Depart ment of Computer Science, where three types of reports will be drawn from the advisement data. These summary reports will show the number of students advised for a particular department, course and section . The report will also show the number of seats available in a particular section. The second report will show the total number of students enrolled within each school or college and the last type of report will designate the names of students requesting a particular section. Once these reports are printed, the discrepancies between the number of students who want a particular course and the number of available seats, will be worked out by SGA and department heads. While students are not allowed to pre-register in courses other than in their major, Berlin said many departments will allow students to reserve seats in some courses, but it is up to the student to contact the department in question. stern Look at evy 'S Dparel & boots r most anything evy's fc Assembly ~:00-8:00 p.m. FET $1.25 I, bread and butter, coffee R FET $1.75 icken, 3 vegetables, >utter, tea or coffee 11 value for $10(: ni 11I:00-2:15 8-ceut entree rms Buffet d Pendleton Str'eets" ayTruFiday r I/ Your C, on bul HE At Arnpu.s Conwerti street - across from si n from 3:00 r.m. to 10:C RE'S A "CONVENIENT" CHEC w w snwM lom -ono PICNIC 1.
